Maintenance

Most issues with friction or stiffness can be solved with a simple maintenance routine. Perform the steps below after each season, or as soon as you notice unexpected friction or resistance.

  • Submerge the hook head in a bucket of fresh water and perform a series of push/pull operations under water.
  • Let dry in the extended position, with the hook head lower than the handle end.
  • If necessary, lubricate using standard WD 40.
  • Store with hook head pointing down.
