Maintenance

Most issues with friction or stiffness can be solved with a simple maintenance routine. Perform the steps below after each season, or as soon as you notice unexpected friction or resistance.

Submerge the hook head in a bucket of fresh water and perform a series of push/pull operations under water.
Let dry in the extended position, with the hook head lower than the handle end.
If necessary, lubricate using standard WD 40.
Store with hook head pointing down.
