Mooring Hook for Safe and Easy Mooring
Hook & Moor – the smarter way to moor
Mooring solo doesn’t have to mean leaning dangerously over the edge or waiting for someone on the dock. The Hook & Moor mooring hook lets you thread your dock line through a mooring ring, cleat, or buoy and bring it back to the boat in one single motion — from a safe position onboard.
What is a mooring hook?
A mooring hook is a tool designed to guide your dock line to a mooring point and return it to the boat – without the need to reach overboard or use extra lines. The Hook & Moor takes this a step further with a patented design that handles the entire operation in one push or pull, using your boat’s own dock line directly.
No messenger lines. No assistant on the dock.
How the Hook & Moor mooring hook works
- Attach your dock line – place the eye of your dock line in the Hook & Moor’s built-in carabiner (supports dock lines up to ø 25 mm).
- Choose your mode – the hook works in both push and pull operation, adapting to different mooring situations such as rings, cleats, and buoys.
- Complete the motion – guide the hook through the mooring point and let the dock line follow. Both ends of the line stay on board, giving you full control from start to finish.
Built for marine use
The Hook & Moor mooring hook is engineered from marine-grade materials:
- Glass fibre reinforced PA for a lightweight, durable body
- Forged aluminium components for strength without excess weight
- Stainless steel hardware that resists corrosion in saltwater environments
It floats if accidentally dropped overboard, and the telescopic design – available in six lengths from 1.2 to 4.2 metres – makes it easy to use from any vessel and simple to store on deck.
One mooring hook. Multiple mooring situations.
The Hook & Moor mooring hook is designed to handle the mooring scenarios you encounter most:
Mooring rings
Thread the line through and pull back in one fluid motion
Buoys
Attach and release without the usual struggle
Cleats
Loop the dock line securely without leaning out
